What are Growl notifications?
Growl notifications are small windows that subtly fade into the top right corner of your screen

seconds unless you have selected the “Sticky” option in the preferences. “Stickied” notifications
will only fade away when clicked upon. To customize Growl notifications for Guidance, go to
“System Preferences” in the Guidance menu and select the Growl icon.
Clicking on the Growl notification that arises will mute the currently playing Adhan. Clicking on the X button in the top left corner of a Growl notification will close the notification while keeping the Adhan playing.
For more information on Growl you can visit the Growl website at http://growl.info.

You can set Guidance to play at a designated time before Fajr. For example, you can set Guidance to

will be able to pray at a time convenient to you but still within the proper allotted time.
- Select “Preferences” from the menu and then click on the “Alerts” tab.
- In the Alerts tab, select the checkbox labeled “Shuruq” and type in the number of minutes before Shuruq you would like to be reminded with an Adhan. (For example, 60 min. before Shuruq, 30 min. before Shuruq, etc.). At your set time, Guidance will play the Adhan to remind you before Fajr time is over.
- Close the box to save your preferences.
